Raminder Singh Bolaria Memorial Park in Amritsar.Broken flower pots, defunct fountains and lights, stinking water bodies make the place unhygienic. The park holds great significance as it is located near popular Gurdwara Shaheeda Sahib in the heart of the city. Damaged bust of Raminder Singh Bolaria greets visitors. Besides, deplorable condition of toilets make these unfit for use. The green belt at many places has turned muddy and filthy due to stagnant water. Instead of presenting a soothing picture, the park offers repulsive look. Visitors are unable to stay in the park for long duration as it is unclean and the ill-maintained water body stinks. Many flower pots are lying broken. The Tribune team found residue of burnt garbage when it visited the park today.
